The Simpson VGT Variable Girder Tiedown is a high-capacity solution for girder trusses, designed for retrofit applications and high-wind construction.

Simpson VGT Includes

• (16) 1/4 in. x 3 in. Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws
• (1) Predeflected crescent washer

Simpson VGT Features

• Suitable for retrofit applications
• Available with one flange concealed for attachment to trusses with no tail
• Load rated to resist high-wind forces

Simpson VGT Installation Overview

1. Install washer component so top of washer is horizontal and parallel with top plate of wall
2. Can be installed on roof pitches up to 8/12 or on a bottom chord designed to transfer the load
3. Screw holes are configured to allow for double installation on a two-ply (minimum) truss
4. When installing on trusses with no overhangs, specify VGTR/L
